An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
