A rabbi has shared the moment when a man attempted to barge into his Manchester Jewish temple during a deadly attack, remarking "I witnessed wickedness, I observed animosity".

The cleric stated that he and fellow worshippers maintained the doors of the worship house as the attacker was "body-charging the entrances, hurling weighty plant pots, trying whatever he was able to to gain entry".

Praising the fast-acting of those at the synagogue, he stated: "I witnessed real heroism, I must declare, and worshippers who hurried to assist fellow members rather than escaping. It was astonishing."

Adrian Daulby, 53, and A 66-year-old man, both lost their lives after the attacker struck people and assaulted a person on that day.

The cleric explained that the incident took place before the religious service was in full flow, and afterwards there would have been hundreds of attendees in the congregation.

He remarked: "If one man in specific hadn't acted as swiftly as he succeeded and locked the entrances locked, anyone can envision what would have occurred."

Describing how the situation unfolded, he stated a group of worshippers kept the entrances closed from the interior to make sure the intruder was unable to get in.

Eventually after the authorities arrived, the spiritual leader said two further persons inside the synagogue were harmed.

An individual was killed and someone else harmed by law enforcement firing, local authorities has confirmed.

Conversing to the press, the spiritual leader mentioned he would do his best to extend comfort to the loved ones of those who died and the larger community.

"Exists anxiety but there is also support", he said.

"I think and trust that we can provide comfort and faith. I am certain very deeply that we must not allow this to overcome us".

The national leader and observers have applauded the cleric and the protection staff as "brave individuals" for their conduct.

When asked if he saw himself as a hero, he answered: "I don't believe that is accurate".

Nonetheless, a observer at the site mentioned the spiritual leader had remained serene throughout as he and additional individuals led the assembly to security.

The family of Mr Daulby has also offered praise to their "courageous person" who passed away during "the act of bravery to rescue other people".

"His relatives is shocked by the tragic, sudden demise of such a lovely modest person" the message continued, as the relatives pleaded for seclusion to grieve.
